Going To The Park

This term in writing we are focusing on recounts. My recount is about when my two friends Ceejay and Archie came over in the holidays we had a very fun time, and we did lots of different things. It was really easy to copy and paste my writing from my google document to my google slide because I have lots of experience  using copy and paste. It was hard trying to fit in everything we did into the recount because of how many things we did that day. 

Covid 19 Comic

This is a comic I made in lockdown about the fight against covid 19. It was really fun to make and be creative with the ideas and characteristics, me and my friend created the iron man in our own time and it took very long to create so I hope you like it. There are not a lot of slides but I think it should still cheer you up if lockdown hasn't been fun for you so enjoy.

Christmas

I learnt how to crop images that were from the explore tool because I remembered how to do it with a normal shape then did the same thing.

I enjoyed doing the christmas table because of the food and sparkling grape juice.

It was challenging doing the sparkling grape juice and the cup because I had never tried before.

I found it easy getting pictures off of the explore tool because I have used the explore tool for a long time.

Next time I will put a picture of steam pudding on the table because my Dad makes the best steam pudding.

10 Things We need in a Recount and our goal for the remainder of the year

 1.It needs to be in past tense.
 2.Use rich and describing words.                                                                                                                       3.It has to be recent.                                                                                                                                           4.It needs to have paragraphs.                                                                                                                           5.It needs to include touch taste feel and what you heard.                                                                                 6.punctuation in the right places.                                                                                                                       7.It needs to include alliteration, nouns, adverbs, verbs and adjectives.                                                           8.facts about what you did.                                                                                                                               9.has to be something that you did.                                                                                                                10.full sentences that make sense

My goal for the remainder of the year is to give new things a go and change my perspective of things.

Why is the Environment Our Responsibility

 We have been learning about persuasive writing

The digital learning object I've chosen to create is persuasive writing in google slides

I enjoyed this learning because I got to learn and know why the environment is our responsibility.

One thing I would like to learn next about is why are trees important to the world.

A question I still have about the environment is why can't humans look after our planet better.

The Awapuni School Fun Run

 Fun Run                     30/07/20

I sat down excitedly on the blue mat as I was looking at all the activities that had been prepared for us for the fun run. But I wasn’t very excited because I knew our turn wasn’t till 11:50. Seconds later I was playing hand games with my friends Zane , Ceejay , Archie and Rautaki because I didn’t know what else to do. We were playing a game called chopsticks. After that Ceejay and I stood up and went to cheer on Team Pukeko because my sister Quinn is in Team Pukeko and Ceejay and I wanted to watch her do the fun run. She slipped on the slip n slide , crawled under the cargo net and stepped through the mud pit.

Now it was Team Weka's turn and me and Ceejay were cheering them on as they dove into the mud pit and scrambled under the cargo net. Lot’s of other people were cheering too and there were also lot’s of laughter. As Team Weka was racing lot’s of people were playing hand games because they felt bored. I felt pretty bored so I started playing hand games too but this time instead of playing chopsticks I played battle ship’s with Archie.

When it was our turn we walked over to the blue which was our starting point and we started we sprinted through the color leaped over the tyres and looped around the maze. Then I did a manu into the mud pit then I slid on my back on the slip n slide whooo I yelled. After that Our turn was done So I got up and went and sat down on the blue mat.

We were learning about writing quality recounts about the Awapuni school fun run.

I found it easy to think of what to write because we did it the day before we started writing it.

I found it challenging to finish in time because I was sick for a couple days.

Next time I will make my story more exciting and put in more detailed words to describe my writing.    

Matariki Animation

This is my animation about Matariki this is the story that the 7 stars are the houses of the gods and when you die you go there.

We were learning about Matariki the star and we had to make a animation around it.

I found it easy to make the characters because they are white.

I found it challenging to make the animation because it is hard to move the characters.

Next time I will put more effort into it.

We were learning about Matariki because all the classes in team Toroa have a specific star to work on.

I found it easy to find the information because the information was linked.

I found it challenging to Make the art because It to quite a while.

Next time I will not talk as much to the people around me because it stopped me from finishing faster.

Castle In The Distance

The old and majestic bridge  was covered with strong
stable colourful moss that spread like vines in the
amazon jungle it was long made of brick and had seaweed
on the bottom with shells that stuck to it like glue.  

There was a tall castle that represented the many years
that it was their it looked very mysterious it looked so old I
thought it was an antique I put my ear against the wall to
see if there was any signs of life forms in there but all I
heard was rats lots and lots of rats I saw windows i tried
to look through them but it was pitch black my stomach
felt like it had a bottomless pit that never ended.

  The ocean looked transparent even though the blueness of
the ocean engulfed every other colour in it the flatness and
stillness calmed every nerve in my mind and calmed every
emotion that I felt. The mist emerging from the ocean.
The ocean looked magnificent as it shifted left and right.

The sky was filled with a variety of things that you would
see in a beautiful painting the sky merged with the clouds
it looked as if it was the gate between the spirit world and
the normal world.
