Going To The Park

This term in writing we are focusing on recounts. My recount is about when my two friends Ceejay and Archie came over in the holidays we had a very fun time, and we did lots of different things. It was really easy to copy and paste my writing from my google document to my google slide because I have lots of experience  using copy and paste. It was hard trying to fit in everything we did into the recount because of how many things we did that day. 

My Moment in the Spotlight

For the last four weeks we have been doing, creative writing about running the 100m sprints in the olympics. It was really fun because, I love sports and athletics and would like to be able to do that someday. My writing teacher Mr Barclay had created an example for us to look at so that made it easier. It was fun describing the hardships trials that I had to face.

 

Covid 19 Comic

This is a comic I made in lockdown about the fight against covid 19. It was really fun to make and be creative with the ideas and characteristics, me and my friend created the iron man in our own time and it took very long to create so I hope you like it. There are not a lot of slides but I think it should still cheer you up if lockdown hasn't been fun for you so enjoy.

My Olympic Value Medals

This term we have been focusing about the Olympic values which are excellence, friendship and respect. My friends and I have created a google drawing showing the Olympic values with medals. I found it easy to resize the word art to fit the medals and create the podium, It was difficult polylining a laurel wreath because you have to polyline the individual leafs. In the future I would like to add a background because I think it would look better. Do you think I could put more detail into my podium?  

Should We Be Prepared For A Natural Disaster

What did you learn I learnt what the structure is for our persuasive writing, and what words you use for different parts of your persuasive writing. I learnt how to note take the information you gather and how to summarise main

points.

What did you enjoy I enjoyed gathering the information because I found it really interesting and I struggled with

it a little bit. I enjoyed structuring my writing because of how complex it can be.

What was challenging It was challenging to find the right font to use in my publishing because I wanted my writing

to pop. I found it challenging to convert the writing off sites into my own words because I couldn't do it that well last year.

What was easy It was easy to find the right background and images to fit each paragraph because one of my friends taught me last year. It was easy to control c control v my writing over to my publishing because I am quite good at it.What will you do next time Next time I will add more factual information in my paragraphs.

Next time I will re check my writing more because I made mistakes that I could have spotted.

Ruaumoko Rages Book Review

 What did you learn? I learnt about the different types of volcanoes, and difference between extinct, dormant and active volcanoes. I learnt about Ruaumoko the youngest son of Papa and Rangi and what he controls.

What did you enjoy? I enjoyed Giving the rating and writing my opinion on the story which is Ruaumoko Rages.

What was challenging? Telling you why you should read Ruaumoko Rages because I don't know If you would like the book.

What was easy? telling you about my favorite part of the story because thought the book was great.

What will you do next time? I will go more in depth with my opinion.

UV and Me

 We were learning about Uv It is a pretty big topic so we narrowed it down a bit to make it a bit easier. We focused on uv rays and these cool things called uv beads that change colour when they get hit with a uv ray.

I found it easy to to add mote to my google slide because It wasn't that advanced all it does is read that sentence to you if you want to listen to the sentence.

I found it challenging to think of wonderings to answer for my research so I just write down what I wondered and went from there.

Next time I will make my mote more advanced by making it tell you more fact and information about the sentence.
