We were learning about the story of horouta, how the wake came. And around were they came from which was somewhere in the pacific triangle. The story explained that they landed at ohiwa and hit a sandbar paoa went off into the mountains to find a suitable timber to repair the waka.
I found it easy to make the background because my cooperative group was pretty quiet and focused during there learning and were able to remind me how to do it.
I found it challenging to create a maori person so I had to use my ten percent of google images on it.
Next time I will create a more detailed, complex animation with mote to explain parts of the story.
