Kayaking at Archie's.

Kayaking at Archies
16.3.20
Splash! Went mana as he happily jumped off the pontoon while we were the brightly colored kayaks into the river. Once we hopped in the kayaks we started paddling around a couple of bends. We arrived at the humongous rope swing we all struggled to get to because we had to swim to it. I was clinging on a log with all my might trying to pull myself up then I finally did it.

While I was holding onto the rope swing I was quite scared about what was going to happen then I counted myself in ( 3 2 1) then I jumped and held on till I reached the peak of my swing and let go and made a ginormous splash!!!  I swam back to the shore once I got back mana jumped off a twelve point five foot tree then pin dropped into the water. Then it was Archie’s turn on the rope swing he swang until the peak of his jump then splashed and Rautaki did the same.

We headed back paddling past the same bends and then...splosh! I got hit in the face by a blue and green water gun “ hey what was that for “ I said at what had happened. We headed back to the house.

Then changed into dry clothes and started biking up and down the road estaticly as we went through puddles.

  1. Kia ora Rhodes,

Thank you for sharing your recount! I enjoyed reading it, it sounds like you and your friends had lots of fun. I liked how you used some precise verbs to describe how you were doing things, ka pai!
Did you finish your recount? I am interested to read the ending.

    Ngā mihi,

    Mrs Barker.

  2. Hey Rhodes,

you can come over again once lock down is over. I liked how you used your adjectives and adverbs like when you said brightly coloured kayaks instead of just saying kayaks.
